Hello . Welcome to the In The Know online training programme.
Young gay and bisexual men (GB men) and other men who have sex with men (MSM) have specific health and wellbeing needs, are particularly vulnerable to sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and are disproportionately affected by human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). They also experience minority stress. You might be doing this course because you feel you don’t have enough information on these topics or maybe, you feel ill-equipped to deal with these issues in a group setting. Don’t worry. This online course, in conjunction with the manual and resource pack provided on completion, will prepare you to deliver workshops to gbMSM groups.
The In the Know programme is designed for delivery to young gbMSM over the age of sexual consent. Many of the activities could be adapted for use with a younger audience with appropriate developmental and legal considerations and in line with relevant professional and organisational practice and policy.
